Chirimoya

cher·i·moy·a  (chr-moi) also chir·i·moy·a (chîr-)
n.
1. A tropical American tree (Annona cherimola) having heart-shaped, edible fruits with green skin and white aromatic flesh.
2. The fruit of this plant.

I'm totally hooked on this fruit, especially it's juice. It's refreshing, not too sweet and according to Mark Twain "the most delicious fruit known to men." It still amazes me that I have never encountered it in Europe. So much for the globalized world...
